Stefani Pashman is stepping down as chief executive of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development after more than eight years leading the Pittsburgh-based regional civic organization, the group announced.

The board’s scheduled leadership transition was cited as a natural moment to align new executive direction with the organization’s next phase of work. Pashman will remain CEO until a successor is named.

Her departure coincides with the election of the Conference’s 2027-2029 board leadership. Leroy M. Ball, chief executive of Koppers Holdings Inc., will serve as incoming chair, with Mark Wiedman, president of The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc., as vice chair. Both assume their roles Jan. 1, 2027, succeeding current chair David L. Holmberg, CEO of Highmark Health.

Ball, who has led Koppers since 2015, will chair the search committee for Pashman’s replacement. Wiedman joined PNC in April 2025 after a lengthy career at BlackRock.

The Allegheny Conference rotates board leadership every three years as part of its standard governance model.
