Dough Daddy Brewery in Gibsonia has won a gold medal in the Pumpkin Beer category at the 2026 U.S. Open Beer Championship for its seasonal ale Bone Daddy, the brewery announced Thursday.
The U.S. Open Beer Championship is the third-largest beer competition in the United States, drawing entries from breweries across the country and internationally and judging across more than 180 categories and subcategories.
Bone Daddy, made by head brewer George Kepler and assistant brewer Lance Miller, is brewed in a Scottish-style ale tradition with pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, brown sugar and vanilla.
“We pour a lot into this beer every year, so having it recognized on a national level feels incredible,” said Angela Bogacz, the brewery’s owner.
Dough Daddy Brewery, located at 4381 Gibsonia Road, is woman-owned and operates a dog-friendly beer garden. It is a sister company of Caliente Pizza & Draft House.
The brewery said Bone Daddy will return to its taps this fall, with release details to be announced in the coming weeks.
