Community Events: South Hills and Mon Valley June

The South Hills Coin Club meets Tuesday, June 9, at 7:30 p.m. at the Bethel Park Municipal Building, 5100 W. Library Ave. This month’s program covers the Bicentennial. A 50/50 drawing and children’s prizes will be offered. Membership applications are open.

First Presbyterian Church, 501 Fayette Ave., Belle Vernon, hosts its 11th annual Blessing of the Animals Saturday, June 13, at 10 a.m. All pets welcome. Monetary and pet food donations accepted for Mon Valley Paws.

Mon Valley Paws holds its monthly meeting Monday, June 22, at 6 p.m. at the ISMA Italian Club, 112 Seventh St., Monessen. All welcome.

The group also hosts a dine-and-donate at Steel Plate Restaurant, 321 Schoonmaker Ave., Monessen, Monday, June 29, from 3-8 p.m. A basket auction will be held and donations accepted. Donors are entered to win a Pet Supply Plus gift card.
