For the ninth consecutive year, Pittsburgh will host Pogopalooza, the World Championships of Pogo Sticking, with competition scheduled June 12-14, 2026, across two venues in the region.

The three-day event, produced by Xpogo, is free and open to the public.

Competition opens Friday, June 12, at Market Square in Downtown Pittsburgh with the High Jump contest, held in partnership with the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership. Athletes must clear a bar starting at 7.5 feet and land while remaining on the pogo stick. The bar rises until a single competitor remains. Last year, Henry Cabelus set a Guinness World Record at that event, clearing 12 feet, 0.75 inches, a mark that will be in contention again this year.

Saturday and Sunday’s events move to Community Forge in Wilkinsburg, headquarters of Xpogo. Organizers bring in bleachers and construct a temporary course featuring an 8-foot platform, boxes, rails and other obstacles.

Saturday’s program opens with the Tech competition, which restricts athletes to traditional spring-powered pogo sticks and emphasizes precision and stylistic execution. The afternoon shifts to Big Air Freestyle Qualifying, in which competitors on high-powered performance sticks capable of propelling riders 10 feet or more into the air attempt flips and platform jumps to secure a spot in Sunday’s finals.

Sunday begins with the Big Air Freestyle Finals, followed by the Best Trick contest, in which athletes attempt previously unlanded maneuvers. The event closes with a 15-and-under Bounce Off, open to any participant in that age group using sticks provided on-site. The last competitor still bouncing wins a Vurtego Slingshot pogo stick.

A free-jump area will be available throughout the weekend, with basic instruction provided. A food truck from Nancy’s Revival will be on-site Saturday and Sunday.

Details are available through Eventbrite, where free registration, while not required, is encouraged so attendees can receive schedule updates.
