Pittsburgh’s annual Independence Day celebration will look a little different this year. Due to ongoing construction at Point State Park, the city’s official Fourth of July fireworks will relocate to the North Shore Riverfront Park, nestled between Stage AE and Acrisure Stadium.

The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources continues its rehabilitation project at the Point, keeping the park closed through much of the summer. Elsewhere downtown, preparations for next year’s NFL Draft have added to the construction-related reshuffling.

The fireworks display will begin at 9:35 p.m. and conclude promptly at 10 p.m.

North Side festivities will include performances by Nash.V.Ill, DJ Supa C, Jukebox, Jay Constable, and Tuesday Night. On the other side of the river, Grandview Park’s stage will host the Billy Price Band, Nied’s Hotel Band, and Ansel Brown.

The city encourages attendees to plan ahead, as traffic and parking may be affected by the construction zones.
