The NFL Draft is making a historic return to Pittsburgh in 2026. The announcement was made by the NFL at the Spring League Meeting this morning. This marks the first time since 1948 that Pittsburgh will host the NFL Draft, bringing it back to the Steel City after 72 years.

The 2026 NFL Draft will be held at Point State Park and Acrisure Stadium, the home of the Pittsburgh Steelers. This three-day event will feature community events, a concert series, and the NFL Draft Experience. These activities are expected to provide a significant economic boost to the city while also showcasing the city itself.

Since becoming a traveling event in 2015, the NFL Draft has been hosted in several cities, including Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, Nashville, Cleveland, Las Vegas, and Kansas City. The 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit set a record with over 775,000 fans in attendance, and Green Bay will host the 2025 draft at Lambeau Field.

Founded in 1933, the Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the NFL’s oldest franchises and have won six Super Bowl championships over its history. Though it is not a seventh ring, The 2026 NFL Draft will add a jewel to the Steelers and Pittsburgh’s legacy.
